How long does it take?
The paperwork takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete. After the jail receives our paperwork, local police stations generally take up to an hour, and county jails can take between 2 and 4 hours. Generally speaking, the busier the holding facility, the longer it takes.
How much does a bail bond cost?
When you use a licensed bail bond company like El Padrino Bail Bonds you only pay a portion of the set bail amount, once it is set by th court. This typically is 10% of the bail amount.
What do I need to get a bail bond?
In addition to the required bail bond premium (10% typically), we will need some details on your loved one in jail. We will also need your identification, address and phone number for the guarantor of the bail bond.
How long is the bail bond good for?
The Bail Bond is valid as long as the court case is in pending status. The bail bond will remain valid if all conditions have been met.
What if I can't afford the bail bond?
Not to worry, we can wotk with you to get a payment structure in place you can afford so the bail bond can be posted.
What are the bail conditions?
The court will set the conditions of bail. The conditions would include not only the amount the bail but also any other conditions the court deems necessary. Those conditions could be such things as a requirement of regular employment and/or pre-trial check-ins.
Do I get the premium back?
Once you have worked with us to arrange a bail bond and we post it in the court on your behalf, then the premium is earned and is non-refundable.
Who is responsible for the bond?
The indemnitor is financially liable for the bail bond. The indemnitor’s liability is limited to the full face value of the bail bond and any expenses that is accrued if forfeiture occurs. It is recommended that the co-signer maintain a very close relationship with the defendant and keeping an open line of communication.
